receiving Care
Receiving Care Receiving home care is out-of-home care provided in licensed foster homes which are designated to provide emergent or short-term care.Receiving home care is temporary care not to exceed 30 days. (case dependent)Receiving home care is used when need for placement is immediate, and time does not allow for planning to place directly into regular foster care or other alternate care. The Compensation rate for licensed care providers under receiving care is higher* than basic foster care. GO TO APPLICATION PROCESS PAGE OR APPLY NOW
Short Term-Long-Term Care/Respite
Short-Term Care is out-of-home care provided in licensed homes. Short-term care is usually "planned" ahead, with written consideration regarding the child and the home AND some or full knowledge of the longevity and need for placement and more details regarding the child/children and case details. In our experience, short-term can be from 1 day up to 3 months. If the need for placement extends beyond this point, the placement is considered Long-Term. In this case, the need for placement is extended based on several factors, but more times than not, it is due to children unable to return to thier biological homes/other and/or no other family/relative placement resources. Extended Care
Respite care offers time limited relief for substitute parenting or care giving of a child. Licensed Care Providers are paid for providing respite care. EX: providing respite care over the weekend, Fri, Sat, Sun - to give the current care provider a breakThe Extended Foster Care program provides an opportunity for young adults who were a dependent of Washington State at age 18, to voluntarily agree to continue receiving foster care services, including placement services, while working on their goals towards independence. In most cases, these young adults are stabalized in thier current placement.GO TO APPLICATION PROCESS PAGE OR APPLY NOW
